This post is about the traditional lands of the Ktunaxa Nation. It was written while traveling by plane from Treaty 7, the traditional homeland of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), over numerous lands, through Dish With One Spoon Territory (traditionally of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples) and to Mi’kma’ki, the traditional and unceded land of the Mi’kmaq, where I live, under the Peace and Friendship Treaties.
